Xiaomi Mi Drone offers 4K video

MiDrone
Chinese mobile company Xiaomi has announced its first consumer quadcopter, the Mi Drone.
The Mi Drone offers 4K video (3,840 x 2,160 at 30 fps) with a three-axis gimbal that stabilises 2,000 times a second.
It will be available in China for around £315, which is far cheaper than rivals like theDJI Phantom 4.
It can stay airborne for 27 minutes on a single charge and can travel up to 1.25 miles away from the operator.
The new UAV can be brought home in a single tap and will know to return to its master when the power gets low.
There’s also a remote control which enables your smartphone to be used as a viewfinder.

The Mi Drone can also be commanded to fly to a point of interest, follow a route and even perform a circle around a desired location while filming.
There’s also a 1080p, 6fps version coming to market, which will be even more affordable at around £260.
Whether any of us will ever have the opportunity to spend our sterling on the Mi Drone range remains to be seen.
You can, however, see it in the video below
